Overview

This project is an effort to provide a complete set of sample applications for SproutCore 1.0.  This should include several applications that cover the entire framework end-to-end, including views, models, controllers as well as interacting with the server.  Additional samples may be added to demonstrate specific features of the framework.

Current Status

I've installed SproutCore 1.0 beta as described on the page "Abbot-Setting Up" under "Getting the Latest Code" and "Testing SproutCore with Abbot" as of July 23, 2009. Here are my comments about the sample apps from git://github.com/sproutit/sproutcore-samples.git.

THESE APPS RUN:
clock
drag
drag_list
outline
sample_controls
store_configurator

THESE APPS RUN, BUT WITH PROBLEMS?
chat -- it displays a list but the tree view doesn't expand/collapse
iphone_demo -- in Safari, it displays a logo only so maybe some text should explain it needs an iPhone?
vanilla -- it's not clear what this is supposed to do (and there are no comments in the source)
view_builder -- it's not clear what this is supposed to do (and there are no comments in the source)

For an improved first-time user experience, maybe the problem apps should be removed or improved?

Good point. vanilla and view_builder were pretty pointless now that I look at the code so I removed them.

The chat demo should be useful but it has some kind of bug. It needs a nice warning.

The iphone_demo should be modified to explain that its running the mobile version of SproutCore and only responds to touch events.
